Acknowledged as one of the most popular and well-known aquatic flowers in the world, the lotus is a breathtaking flower that blooms in colours of pale pink to stark white. It should be planted in a container and then placed in a damp location such as a pond, swamp, or shallow lake or water feature. It should be kept only in water that is still (away from fountains etc.) The temperature of the water can go anywhere from 12-30°C, but it is crucial to ensure that the water never freezes. If the plant is maintained correctly, it can grow up to heights of 180cm and will add a touch of majestic to any pond or lake that is graced by its presence.
