Philodendron ‘Verrucosum’ is a very fussy plant featuring small green leaves tinged with thick veins of white. It spends most of its young life attached to another tree, which it relies on for nutrients. Due to the plants unusually high reliance on other plants for nutrients, it should be consistently supplemented using a slow-release fertilizer in the warm months which will ensure that it receives the energy it needs to flourish. The plant should be placed in a small pot filled with constantly moist, acidic soil which drains effectively, in humid (the more the better!) conditions. If maintained correctly, the Philodendron ‘Verrucosum’ can grow up to 90cm tall!
