Wax Jambu is a medium sized, hardy tree with dark green, teardrop shaped leaves. The plant is known for producing jambu, a pink conical shaped fruit. To ensure that the tree matures enough to produce this fruit, a specific set of conditions must be met. Firstly, it should be planted in moist, well-drained soil that is nutrient rich. This can also be achieved by using an external fertilizer in warmer months. It should also receive 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day and it is recommended to only keep this plant in warm climates. If these conditions are met, the plant will start to produce the delicious fruit within 2 years of planting.
