This rather demanding tree requires moist, well-draining soil that has an acidic pH level and should be kept in partial shade or bright, indirect sunlight. The plant should be watered daily, especially if using a slow-release fertilizer which requires water to release its’ nutrients. If maintained correctly, the plant will grow to a height between 160-180cm and is sure to produce the brilliant red berries that can be transformed into the iconic drink!
